Quintype turns 5!

Quintype turns 5!

Note from the CEO on Quintype's fifth anniversary

5 years ago, when the founding team at Quintype approached a few digital publishers to understand what their main issues were with digital media, we found a similar pattern across all of them. Each one of them started their digital property to focus on creating, engaging content, and growing their audience. However, handling technology was weighing them down. It didn’t help that simultaneously, Google and Facebook were introducing new ways of presenting content on their platforms. Half their time was spent in setting up their digital systems with numerous plugins that did not work together. The other half spent catching up with the rapid technology changes happening around them.

It was clear to us that there was a need for a platform that seamlessly manages all the technology changes and allows the publishers to focus on what they do best i.e. create great content. In our first couple of years, we worked closely with publishers like theQuint, Swarajya, and BloombergQuint to build a robust platform for digital publishers and catered to most of their needs. We thank them for their patience and guidance in the initial days, while we meticulously designed and built the features into the products.

It is our 5th anniversary today and we've come a long way since 2015. We've on-boarded quite a few publishers, both large and small. We've built a platform that can serve over 3 billion page views per month without batting an eyelid and are proud to say that it meets almost all the needs of most digital publishers. We've had our fair share of failures along the way like any other startup. We've been quick to course correct and move ahead in our mission to be the technology partner for digital publishers across the world.

Of course, none of this would have happened without the support of our promoters, our customers, our partners, and our investors. But there's one set of people who truly stood out to make this happen -- the dedicated team at Quintype! They've worked through late-night on-call issues and weekends to ensure the product and our service meets the expectations of our customers.

Looking Forward

So, what would the next 5 years at Quintype look like? As with any growing organization, financial and operational metrics are important to us as well. We do try and meet our operational goals year after year. However, that isn't our guiding star. Over the last 5 years, we've seen the opportunity to revolutionize an entire industry and help publishers increase traffic, engagements, subscriptions, and advertising revenue on their digital properties. Seeing the happiness of a publisher when their traffic goes up 20X in 6 months or when their subscriber base increases 3 fold in a couple of months is worth a lot more than merely hitting our targets. And that is what we will be focussed over the next few years -- helping publishers grow.

  • Grow their traffic

  • Increase engagement

  • Increase reader revenue

  • Increase advertising revenue

We focus on building new products that change the digital publishing landscape. Our efforts aim at making the experience of every digital publisher as smooth as is possible. The team at Quintype is constantly looking for solutions that can empower publishers. Quintype believes that the content renaissance begins with digital publishers and takes pride in knowing that we can be a part of their journey by providing them the best in technology.
